A nice game for practicing math and strategy and probability. It is the same as Yahtzee, but only the top part. Easy to learn and easy to play. Great for practicing simple multiplication and some addition too.

This is the rubric I use for scoring personal narratives. I hated the ones with all the adjectives that are only slightly different than each other. This still has the important categories, but the description is very simple: 4=Great!, 3=Good,

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 4th grade in California for 16 years. I am in my 17th year teaching, currently in 3rd grade. I have also tutored children in math, reading comprehension, and writing. My daughters are in 3rd grade and 4 years old.

MY TEACHING STYLE

School should be fun for the students and for the teacher. While still teaching them what they need to know, I include as many interesting and fun variations of curriculum as I can. Students are much easier to motivate, help, and encourage when they like you and they know/think that you like them. I want my students to exercise respect and responsibility. Doing so is the expectation and the reward is a fun, educational, and pleasant learning environment. When they don't, they receive an appropriate level of my disappointment and consequences.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am happily married and have two wonderful kids.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from U.C. Davis with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture and a minor in design. I earned extra units as a volunteer at the local elementary school. I followed my heart instead of my major, and got my teaching credential from SJSU after graduation.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am proud of the fact that I have written and published four books with over 25,000 total sold to date. I love my job and I love my family. I appreciate my job and I value the time it gives me with my family.
