I have been an educator since 1991. I've taught US History, American Government, Economics, Geography, and Health. I also spent 7 years as a Library Media Teacher where I was able to provide support to teachers in curriculum and technology integration. Currently, I teach US History and serve as AVID Coordinator for our high school.
I have never been one to stand behind a lecturn and watch students take notes, stare at the walls, or even worse, fall asleep! If I'm not actively engaged in a lesson, how can I expect my students to be? I want each day in my classroom to matter and I want each of my students to know that they matter! I incorporate a variety of different methods in order to meet the needs of each of my students from the higher achievers to those with language and learning difficulties.
