I have taught a various grade levels. The bulk of my experience is in 4th and 5th grade. I have also served as the instructional technology coach for a small K-8 school as well.
I believe that a classroom should be a place that fosters creativity and trust. Students will take risks when they feel safe enough to do so. I employ a variety of Kagan strategies for cooperative and group learning opportunities. I also believe that parents are a crucial piece of the learning process. Bridging the gap between home and school makes a big difference for students.
