This is my 19th year as a teacher. My classroom teaching experiences include 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, as well as Title 1 Reading/Math basic skills teacher.
I use a blend of mini-lessons, cooperative learning, and small group instruction, using differentiated learning and teaching strategies in an inquiry-learning setting. I like creating and using Bloom's-based choice menus that challenge students to use a higher level of thinking skills to deepen their understanding.
Yet to be added
I have a B.A. Elementary Education from Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio with additional Reading Endorsement K-12., and a M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction at Ohio Valley University. I also have an additional 15 graduate hours in Reading Master's courses from Fairmont State University.
I have 4 adult children and 9 wonderful grandchildren! I love spending time with family, and I enjoy playing the guitar in our church praise band. My husband and I love golfing, boating, camping, and having cookouts with family and friends. I also love to make jewelry (mostly earrings) and homemade cards, which I do during the summer while I have time to play in my totally cool craft room!
