Hello and welcome! My name is Jo, and for the past 30+ years, I have taught everything from early childhood to adults. I have spent most of my years teaching 3rd-5th grade in a Title One public school, but I also spent a few years in a private school setting, homeschool setting, adult higher education setting, and more recently, online international setting. I tend to get a serious "7 Year Itch" if I stay too long in one area, and besides, good teachers never stop growing and learning! Teaching is teaching no matter what the age or backdrop - It is the act of sharing the knowledge we have been given by others with hopes that someday, in some way, it again will be passed on. I feel honored and blessed to do what I do!
Hands-on, interactive, purposeful, engaging! Every lesson I ask my students, "Why should you learn this?" and they answer: "Because if I learn this my LIFE HAS JUST GOTTEN BETTER!" It's my goal to give them the tools and experiences to make this true for them every. single. day.

When I'm not teaching, creating, or writing, you will find me spending time enjoying the lovely Rocky Mountains with my husband and our four children. Every day is a blessing from God!
