TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 8th year teaching first grade and I still love it just as much as when I started.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I help students learn from one another. I give them the probes to ask one another questions, and the confidence to teach their peers what they learn. Students create and share what is important to them and are offered various experiences to demonstrate their learning while sticking to the Common Core. I put a big focus on building community in the classroom and help my students appreciate each others similarities and differences.
