Students will close read "I, Too, Sing America" and answer questions.
After, they will generate questions with a partner using question stems provided.
Then, they will trade questions with another partner pair and answer them.
Students will take 60 minutes to write a compare and contrast essay over "Dreams" and "I, Too, Sing America" by Langston Hughes.
The next day, students will receive their prompts back and look at the structure and organization.
