TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught at the middle school level, both 7th and 8th grade, for several years. I then transitioned into high school, where I am currently teaching a low-level english class, labeled a 9-10 block class, and Senior English. In the 9-10 block class I teach low-leveled students two years of English in 1 year. It covers 9th grade English and 10th grade English.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I mostly use the direct instruction/ gradual release model- I do, you do, we do. This helps achieve maximum understanding, especially with my low-level learners. I have finished my training in blended learning and start to adapt station rotations into my classroom, love them! Great way to accomplish several task in one day.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Graduated from ASU with honors. Trained in close reading strategies. Wrote curriculum for both middle school and high school.
