TEACHING EXPERIENCE

MY TEACHING STYLE

My methods for teaching are simple yet effective and prove to be greatly beneficial for the students. I believe in a discovery learning format where students come to their own conclusions based on their development over the course of interaction with the materials. The most successful learning comes from the ability to put theory into practice and thus the two must be intertwined. I believe students should formulate their own criticisms of literature and ideas on work rather than be influenced by an instructor. I believe that all students are motivated but each student is motivated uniquely. Different methods will be used to assess student motivation and provide a classroom environment where students become inspired, life-long learners. Students will be held to a high standard of responsibility to promote a habit of accountability that transcends into practical application as each students transitions into the next phase of their lives. Finally, I believe in facilitating creative freedom to all students as I garner my lessons to have capacity for students to explore the works and articulate their thoughts through various forms of artistic expression.
