TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently in my 11th year of teaching and have loved "almost" ever experience. This is a great profession where you get to show your love for learning every day.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy a more active, thinking classroom. I believe students should be geared towards an answer not just given the correct one. I love hands-on activities and projects where students show off the knowledge they have accumulated over the quarter.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

While a junior in high school I started in the Junior Staff Program at the New Jersey State Aquarium. In this program, we worked to create summer programs, including a marine biology curriculum for inner city school. As part of the program we also taught the lessons. I graduated with a Batchelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Child & Adolescent Psychology from Seton Hall University. While teaching, I earned my teaching certificate and Masters of Science in Instruction with a concentration in Curriculum from Drexel University.
