TEACHING EXPERIENCE

After teaching 4th grade for 10 years, I decided to move up to the intermediate level. This is my second year teaching 6th Grade Language Arts, and I love it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to teach my students in a variety of different ways. I try to make each lesson as interactive and engaging as possible. I am very spontaneous and will sometimes come up with a new creative lesson or activity on the spot. I like to create colorful visuals or anchor charts for my students to reference throughout the years.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Nominated for Teacher of the year 2010-2011 Teacher of the Year 2013-2014 at Caprock Elementary in Keller ISD

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from The University of North Texas in December of 2003. I have been teaching within the same district since fall of 2004. I taught 4th grade for 10 years (all subjects), and 6th grade Language Arts.
