A Playful Purpose

I'm Mariah! Kindergarten specialist turned curriculum writer and educator support system and the owner and CEO of A Playful Purpose: Learning for Littles, where I create engaging French and English resources and provide quality professional development opportunities that truly support and inspire educators. I'm also a new mom of three under two, including twins, on a mission to help all Canadian teachers stress less by simplifying their planning and re-igniting their love of play-based learning.​

Rainbows are my jam, but helping educators is my calling. I'm an early learning specialist with a passion for play-based learning and preventing educator burnout by providing engaging resources, quality PD, and teaching them how to use effective systems and routines to re-ignite their spark for teaching.

Through workshops, courses, coaching, programs, and outreach, I have trained and worked with over 1,000 educators. I'm an Ontario and Nova Scotia certified teacher who has taught Kindergarten to grade 8 in both English and French, and I've mentored teachers across Canada as part of my programs with A Playful Purpose. I've also welcomed almost 400 educators to Camp Kinder, virtual PD for educators by educators, in its first year and to date, more than 19,000 of my resources are being used by educators coast to coast.
