I have taught Pre-K thru 5th grade as a substitute teacher for over six years. I also have been very involved in my own four children's elementary classrooms for many years. Teaching elementary school is my passion with a special love for kindergarten and first grade. I was also a math tutor for several years.
I love to have fun with the kids! I believe in lots of positive reinforcement and creative challenges.

I attended Cal State Long Beach and earned a BA in Home Economics (Consumer Sciences). I later went back to school and got a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master's Degree in Multi-Cultural Education through National University. I'd like to brag (a tiny bit, just this one time!) about getting a perfect score on my thesis! I loved working on my credential and Master's Degree. Besides the challenge of going back to school, the subject of teaching was especially satisfying and immensely rewarding!
My four children and husband keep me busy here in sunny southern California. I love to teach - especially the younger kids. I enjoy creating educational materials. See my website and blog at www.awellspringofworksheets.com for creative Common Core aligned worksheets. : )
