TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm currently loving teaching third grade in the most lovely public elementary school in my state. I've also taught first grade in the same school and second grade in an inner-city school. I'm a Responsive Classroom junkie, and I love to learn new things and share with colleagues!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Student-centered, Responsive Classroom, inquiry-based, balanced literacy, workshop model, academic choice, positive classroom community.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I've been nominated for several S.T.A.R. awards (teacher recognition awards) by many families in my school district.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I obtained my B.A. in elementary education and fine arts theater from Rider University. I'm looking to earn my masters... when I can decide on a major, that is! I am a life-long learner and a huge nerd. Fun fact about me: I started attending college while I was still in high school!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I consider myself very lucky to have my wonderful fiance and my two adorable, fuzzy babies. When I'm not teaching or working on something school-related, you might find me doing pilates (I'm a huge Blogilates fan!), trying a new clean-eating recipe, making some sort of craft, or exploring my local county park with my two dogs.
