I have over 20 years of experience teaching instrumental music. Most of those years have been spent teaching 5th and 6th grade beginning band students. In addition, I have been professionally arranging and composing music just as long. My music has been featured at the Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference as well as the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic. Many of my arrangements and compositions have been published by Ludwig Music Masters and as well as Grand Mesa Music Publishers.
I like to provide my students will challenges that will encourage them work together as a team. I believe in setting high expectations for my students but have realistic ones as well. I have found that when students are challenged, they rise to the occasion. Once they have achieved the goals set for them they gain confidence and eventually become self motivated learners.
