I have taught English to students from a dozen different countries in both Asia and the United States. I am currently (mostly) enjoying teaching my own children.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Music and Religion and a Masters in Intercultual Studies, as well as certificates in Russian and Uighur languages and TESoL.
You might say I am a language-geek. Words and languages make me ridiculously giddy. So when I discovered that a well-loved reading program didn’t have compatible decodable books to go along with it, I definitely had to make some. My goal is to help beginning readers LOVE to pick up a book and enjoy reading it by themselves. Books that reinforce sight words are plentiful. But there’s not much fun in knowing that “Bob went to the car.” Check out these books for a unique, kid-friendly approach to reinforcing letter sounds. Reading should be fun!
