TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching science for the last 6 years, and I have loved every minute of it. I have taught at the middle school grade level since I began teaching. I was on a team of teachers that was given the opportunity to develop a curriculum that aligns with the new Next Generation Science Standards. I have taken part in the Wipro Science Education Fellowship since 2014, this fellowship focuses on science curriculum and teacher leadership.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My store name describes my classroom perfectly. Students are active during class whether it is working with a PowerPoint, a laboratory activity, or even the Do Now activity at the beginning of class. I believe that it is important for students to take an independent role in the classroom. They should be allowed to use their natural curiosity to build and carry out investigations in the world around them.
