My 30 years of experience teaching Algebra I and Geometry have prepared me to provide sound and challenging instruction to students who excel at mathematics. In comparison, my Pre-Algebra students often struggle with mathematical skills and concepts. Teaching students at both levels has allowed me to become expert at providing appropriate interventions for students at all levels of intellectual development. I also have experience teaching honors 6th and 7th grade courses.
In my classroom I focus on the use of differentiated instruction, providing prompt personal feedback, and creating an active classroom by incorporating technology, a variety of learning activities, and manipulative use into my lessons.
