TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began my teaching career as a 7th grade math teacher in large, diverse school district. During those years, I taught on-track 7th grade classes, 6th grade honors students, co-taught 7th grade math sped classes, and a math intervention class. I was also on the math curriculum design team for the district. I had a great time teaching my middle-school kids! I then began teaching high school math students in another district (this is my current position). I absolutely love teaching this age of students. My current preps are geometry, a lower-level basic geometry course, and AP calculus.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is very energetic. I love to engage kids with collaborative activities, self-checking activities, and inquiry-based labs. Since I teach on a block schedule, I also like to get kids up and moving when possible!
