Currently I am in my ninth year of teaching. I have been teaching technology at my elementary school for five years. I'm a former art teacher turned technology teacher. I'm involved with all aspects of technology at my school. I am in charge of IT, help desk, software/hardware acquisitions, software deployment, technology focused professional learning and IT maintenance. I teach grades K-1. I dabble in web design, computer graphics, photography, and game development.
My teaching heroes growing up were (Parkview HS) Mr. Steve Richardson, Mr. Steve Mussman, and Mr. Larry Sneed. I try to emulate them every day. I try to have the loudness, humor, and unpredictability of Mr. Richardson, the laid back cool of Mr. Mussman, and the nerdy smarts of Mr. Sneed.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art/Art Education from the University of Georgia
In the last two years I set out to learn Adobe's wonderful and ubiquitous application Flash. It has been a challenge, but most of all it has been a rewarding experience. And best of all, your children are the beneficiaries. I am constantly on the hunt for new and exciting activities on the web. Despite the abundance of Educational Games on the web, there are still applications that need to be created to fill in the gaps. So, I decided to start making my own.
