I have been a teacher since 2003, teaching both in a classroom and currently as an academic interventionist.
I believe that I am a guide in the lives of the students who are in my class. It is my duty to introduce the students to skills that they need in life, allowing them to be active and engaged learners. My room is in constant motion! We frequently move the room around, change seating groups, work in groups, and are always reading great books! My class a family, who help and support one another. :)
I recently graduated with my doctoral degree! Although this in itself was an accomplishment, the bigger accomplishment was that my family still likes me after all those long papers and tests! :)
I obtained my undergraduate degree from Norfolk State University in Virginia. My masters is from Christian Brothers University in Memphis and my doctorate degree from the University of Memphis. Go Tigers!
I am married and have three beautiful children.
