This is my 6th year as a teacher. I taught 2nd grade for 5 years and this year, I am moving up to 4th grade! ! My students are so much fun to work with. They are curious, excited and eager to learn which makes my job extremely rewarding.
I am a firm believer in developing meaningful relationships with students. I also believe the most important role of a teacher is to focus on students needs and to encourage students to develop the skills to become active, responsible participants of their own learning. The best way to do this is to allow students to explore and engage without you...I know, it is scary to let go! The best lessons are the ones where students are truly able to take control and collaborate with others. It is amazing to see what they are capable of of creating!
