TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a New York City Department of Education teacher who have taught at the middle school level for the past eleven years. During my eleven years, I served as a Common Core English Language Art Ambassador, facilitated multiple professional developments, and mentored new teachers. I have experience in working with various population of students, including: general education, English Language Learners, and students with learning disabilities. Additionally, I am currently a model teacher.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My lesson plans include a combination of visual aids, graphic organizers, collaborative learning strategies, questioning,and text-based assignments. Lessons are often ELL and SWD friendly. Additionally, all lesson plans are Common Core aligned.
