TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a designer, writer, teacher, and project developer experienced in marketing, civic engagement, and policy analysis. I seek to make connections between stories and movements that involve creative spaces, intimate community, and good design. I am currently the digital media and journalism teacher at the Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Fort Worth, TX.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I utilize the I do, We do, You do model, with a heavy emphasis on video instruction and one-on-one interactions. I like to provide my students with video instructions so they can watch, listen and rewind at their own pace. I'm then able to go talk with them individually, helping them truly understand the skill and establishing a more relational classroom.
