Two years teaching 7th grade in an inner-city middle school. Three years teaching high school in a rural area.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Let the kids try it, no matter what their ability level. See what they CAN do before deciding what they can't do. Honesty with students is key; I don't sugar-coat.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Majored in English and minored in Secondary Education at Union University (a small liberal-arts college in Jackson, TN). Took several graduate-level classes in School Counseling at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN. Currently pursuing a master's degree in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from Gratz College in PA.
