I have a B.Sc. degree in biology, a M.Ed. degree in educational foundations, and I am a certified IB biology teacher. I've received training in the IB ATL (Approaches to Teaching and Learning) in the Diploma Program- Category 3. I've also received training in the IB Biology Category 2 Diploma Program. This is my third year teaching grade 10 biology, and my second year teaching IB biology, at a private American school in Kuwait. I've worked as a writing tutor at the Saint Mary's University Writing Center while continuing my Master's degree.
I like to focus on practical work, such as labs, class activities, field trips, etc. I also try my best to fully engage students with the material by making connections between what is taught and what they already know. I encourage my students to critically think about topics and to relate those topics to real events.
