TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am the Curriculum and Learning Director at a private, American school in Costa Rica. I have taught **MATH** and **BUSINESS** *(Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, PreCalculus, AP Calculus, Computer Concepts, Business Principles, and Personal Finance)* for the past 9 years in Colorado and in Costa Rica. I also spent a year teaching math classes for grades 1st - 6th.

MY TEACHING STYLE

**I enjoy using a variety of methods** - online videos, discovery learning, structured notes, real world applications, and fun activities that reinforce learning!
**My two main goals:**

- to find ways to keep students engaged and interested in math and business classes by using a variety of tools and activities

- to make sure students understand the "why's" and not just the "how's" of math
