My career started in the military and then continued as a technical troubleshooter, trainer, and customer support technician for the power generation and industrial control industries. My job responsibilities increased to designing industrial control cabinets and their supporting drawings, bill of materials, and product training literature, while providing training of company products around the United States. I then finished my math degree at the University of Missouri and moved to Texas to become certified as a teacher. I spent five years teaching various levels of math for the Dallas Independent School District in Texas and then spent over six years teaching algebra for the Farmington School District in Missouri. I taught a wide range of math courses to students during my teaching career, including 6th grade, 7th grade, 8th grade math, Algebra l, Algebra ll, and Pre-Calculus. I retired as a teacher but find teaching to be a very rewarding career. I am now self-employed and develop math literature to assist other math teachers in their classrooms. The literature includes lessons, notes, activities, assessments, math games, and more.
