I use this in my Algebra 1 class to introduce slope. I start out with a story about my "first skiing experience." I explain how when I was on the ski lift it was fun and I had a "positive experience." Then I was going way too fast down the hill

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my first year teaching Algebra 1. I absolutely love teaching and would love any feedback about my products. I love making revisions and getting ideas on how I can make my Algebra 1 resources more interactive and engaging. I believe that students learn best by applying what they have learned. Therefore, my products allow students to demonstrate their knowledge in real life applications.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I do not believe in lecturing everyday. I believe in making math fun by doing cooperative learning activities that help my students retain and apply what they have learned. I always try to change things up in my classroom by trying new activities or incorporating new technology that can better meet the needs of all my learners.
