Whether I am teaching high schoolers or kindergarteners, in public or private school, in monolingual or bilingual classes, my style is always to understand who my students are developmentally and culturally, to connect with them through humor and authenticity, and to build a bridge between them (wherever they are academically and socially) and the knowledge that will serve them. I believe in a strong, scaffolded, scaled structure on which to build together, and in conveying 100% belief in their abilities. I also believe that evidence builds confidence and using scores and feedback to empower students with an awareness of their own learning.

The only thing I love more than teaching is working with teachers! My career goal has been to work in a collaborative environment with other enthusiastic educators to support students and teachers, to develop interdisciplinary programs, to create academic and character-building curriculum with a focus on empathy and innovation for the 21st Century, and to promote leadership, community, and growth in the teaching profession to build schools of the future.
