My experience as a teacher has ranged from teaching 5th grade, gifted elementary students, providing reading intervention, and teaching music classes! I have a love of the fine arts and music which I implement into my teaching. I love to make learning a creative and expressive experience for children. I believe activities rooted in play inevitably brings creative expression, risk taking, problem solving, and creative thinking in a fun and accessible way. I am an artist and teacher and love to create products as a form of my own artistic and creative expression.
I believe in providing an encouraging, accepting, and safe environment for students to create the most efficient learning environment possible. I believe in connecting with students not only as learners in the classroom, but as individual, developing people. I believe in challenging students to think, problem solve, and take risks in their learning.
