I've been teaching now for 5.5 years. I started my student teaching in the fall of 2008 with Honors Algebra 2, Algebra 1, and AP Calculus in NJ. My first teaching job included subjects such as Algebra 1, Geometry, and Math 11 (a course geared towards the NJ HSPA). I have now been teaching for 2 years in a high school in KY. Again, the courses I teach here are Algebra 1 and Geometry. I will be picking up a new course, Intermmediate Algebra, which is a course between Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.
I am VERY big into providing graphing organizers, fill-in notes, and anything that will help the student be sucessful in class. This up-coming year I am trying to flip my Algebra 1 classroom. I am very good at trying to explain topics in a way that students understand. I enforce vocabulary, but I make sure they understand what the words mean!

I work hard and love what I do! Math is my favorite subject and all I try to do is instill that love into my students!
