I currently teach middle and high school English. I have completed field experience working with ELL students at a nearby high school. Also, I have completed field experience with middle school students in another city that were in a reading resource class.
I am very open to any and every style. Differentiated instruction is key in my classroom. I do, however, tend to favor student-centered instruction and collaborative learning. I feel that it is very important for students to learn how to work together, whether they get along with a certain person or not.

I was a 13 year senior at my school district upon graduating. I graduated 4th in my class and with honors. I lived in the same town my whole life and attended college at a nearby university. In 2010, I graduated with a degree in Education-English for grades 9-12 and then went back to extend my certification to grades 5-12. I am currently teaching at the same high school that I graduated from and am now on my 14th year "empolyed" by the district.
I am an experienced seashell hunter, avid shoe collector, and aspiring writer. I am a recently married, home owning, English loving teacher! I have no children, no pets, but a few plants I'm trying my hand at. My philosophy is to be happy and do what you love. Travelling is a passion of mine and writing short stories is an obsession. Also, post-it notes.
