I appreciate a balance between direct instruction and discovery-based/constructivist learning. In my classroom, students have ample opportunity for constructing their own knowledge, discussing their findings, and critiquing their peers' work. Above all else, I stress respectful discourse and a kind attitude.

I graduated with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Western Washington University before becoming an educator. I am currently teaching undergraduates at a research university while I pursue my Master's in Public Policy.
