I have nine years teaching experience in secondary science education in Virginia. During that time I have taught Earth Science, Astronomy, Meteorology, and Oceanography. I have experience with classes ranging from inclusion special-ed to honors and advanced students.
In the science classroom, a student's own curiosity is their best teacher and motivator. My job as a teacher is a inspire that student and encourage their curiosity about the Earth and the world around them. I find that open-ended hands-on activities are best to inspire students to ask questions, search for answers, and create their own solutions.

I am excited to be able to use my knowledge of teaching and education to create valuable and interesting lessons for students around the world. Every lesson I post here has been adapted from lessons I've used and been successful with in my own classroom. I hope you find them as useful and valuable as I have.
