I have been teaching for 18 years. My experience includes Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 5th Grade, 7th Grade, 8th Grade, 9th Grade, Curriculum Facilitator, Assistant Principal (MS), and Teaching & Learning Coach (mentor for beginning teachers). Although I enjoyed holding positions outside of the classroom for a brief period, nothing excites me more than working directly with students. I am passionate about teaching and I get "All Lit Up" when I see them learning and growing.
I believe that students learn by doing. I provide opportunities that promote cooperative learning with individual and group accountability. I use a fair amount of technology to include my Promethean Board with Apple TV capabilities and Ipads. Students are also allowed to bring their own devices. I love work stations and hands on activities to enhance the learning process. I believe learning can take place anywhere and everywhere, so we are not limited to our classroom space.

I am a Christian wife, mother of three, and a brain tumor survivor! I enjoy going to the beach, watching sporting events, and spending time with family. I love to organize events and create curriculum materials, so being a part of TPT is a great hobby for me.
