Upon graduating from Emmanuel College in 2015 with my Bachelor's Degree I went on to teach 1st grade summer school science in Arizona and in Fall of 2015 I stated my first full-time teaching position as a 4th grade teacher in South Dakota. Prior to graduating I volunteered as a tutor, worked as an instructional assistant, and helped lead a number of student organizations on campus.
Every student learns differently, thus I believe it is a teacher's duty to accommodate each child's learning needs. The majority of my instruction is done in small groups and in one-on-one sessions. The majority of my students are kinesthetic learners, therefore we spend lots of time learning by doing. Movement, crafts, songs, and games are just some of my students' favorite ways to learn.
