TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Senior Lecturer at University of Kentucky for 100-level general chemistry courses with 200+ students each. Have also been an academic coordinator for 100-level chemistry labs managing 1300+ students and 25+ TAs each semester. I have also written CRS (clicker) questions, reviewed textbooks, and wrote test bank questions for major publishers. Before that I have served as a tutor both in high school and college as well as an MCAT prep course instructor.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Even teaching large lectures, I want to engage students as much as possible. Clicker questions allow students an opportunity to stop and think about a topic, discuss it with their neighbors and come to an answer. Seeing and hearing students discuss possible answers and how to solve the problems is what I love to see in my room when posting clicker questions.
