I've been teaching for over twenty years as a paid multiple subjects teacher. Prior to to being paid I was a volunteer computer lab, and reading teacher for eight years.
I use a Blended Learning model that uses Flipped Learning, as well as directed teaching methods.

I have a Master of Educational Technology as well as an Online K-12 Teaching Cerificate from Boise State University.
I am a fourth grade teacher at a Performing Arts/Technology Magnet in Moorpark, CA. Moorpark is located between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. I received a Bachelor's in Home Economics with an emphasis on Nutrition in 1983 from Cal State University, Long Beach. After spending many hours volunteering with the Girls Scouts and my children's classroom, I received my teaching credential in 1996 from Cal State University Dominguez Hills. My passion of working with technology led me to pursuing a Master of Educational Technology in May, 2012. In addition I earned a Certificate in K-12 Online Teaching. I enjoy assisting my school district by serving on the District Technology Committee. My technology interests are teaching in a blended learning classroom, software evaluation, and instructional design. Another interest that I have is teaching pre-service, and fellow teachers how to integrate technology into existing curriculum. I have presented at CUE in Palm Springs as well as numerous sessions at the Ventura County of Education.
