TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 4th year of teaching. I have taught in the classroom for 3 years and taught 1 year of outdoor/environmental education. For the past 2 years, I have been teaching Kindergarten at the Denver Green School and am so glad that I have found such a great fit! We have a 12,000 square foot garden, the first CSA farm on school property in CO, and teach Education for Sustainability Units to encourage students to fall in love with the planet that they will one day be expected to care for.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in creating an environment where students feel free to express themselves, ask questions, and explore the world around them. I try to create hands-on opportunities for students and create an authentic learning experience.
