TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught many different grade levels at the Elementary School setting, all in English Language Arts and Reading. I also have been privileged to work in 4 different school districts in the state of Texas, therefore I have seen concepts taught in a variety of different ways to many diverse students. I am currently a Literacy Coach for K-5 ELA and SLA.

MY TEACHING STYLE

It is crucial to incorporate as many student centered activities in your classroom as possible. Students are best engaged when they have choice too. Small group instruction is a wonderful approach to explicit teaching because it can be differentiated to meet the needs of all your children! Being organized is key when teaching elementary because there are so many meticulous items on your agenda every day!
