I have been fortunate enough to teach a wide variety of classes including special education, home and careers, elementary classrooms and RtI for reading and math in grades K-5.I even spent some time teaching teachers how to use computers. I love my job and always love what ever I am teaching at the time.
I love to have students engaged in activities! I think they learn so much more when they are having fun. It was awesome when I had my annual review and one of my active little boy's said "I love this game!" when they were playing "Vibrant Vowels" to practice vowel sounds and a second voice said the same thing during "Dynamic Dinosaurs."
I have done staff development for the local area, but teachers teach for children. My most treasured awards are the hugs from current and former students and the contacts I get from former students telling me how I touched their lives!
I graduated from Concordia Lutheran Junior College in Ann Arbor, Michigan and attended Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska. I received my Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Plattsburgh State University.
I am fortunate to live in the awesome Adirondack Mountains. My husband and I love to camp with our family. My son and his wife have two wonderful daughters who are a joy to see anytime, but especially when they join us for camping. I have two step children who are wonderful too. Life has been good to me.
