TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently a first-year teacher at Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, Florida. Go Sandcrabs! I teach 9th-grade English 1 and English 1 Honors. Previously, I completed student teaching at Southwest Miami Senior High School in Miami, Florida, as an undergraduate student at the University of Miami. There, I taught 12th-grade English 4 and English 4 Honors.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Big supporter of hands-on, group-based cooperative learning. I try to limit lecture-style teaching as much as possible, though sometimes the content necessitates some teacher-led instruction. Ultimately, my goal is to be a facilitator of learning, and to teach students how to think, not what to think.
