I've had 12 wonderful years of teaching in both kindergarten and first grade. I teach in the fabulous city of Atlanta, GA where I love my school and kiddos!
I'm not sure I have one distinct style of teaching. My class does some small groups, some whole groups, some partner groups, some "by-yourself" work. I can get a little dramatic at times because that just makes the day more interesting. One thing about my teaching is I LOVE to integrate. I like finding ways to bring subjects together because that helps kids to "get it" and get excited about it.
I had the very big honor of being my school's Teacher of the Year in the 2010-2011 school year (They like me! They really like me!). The biggest honor for me was watching my kiddos' reading levels come up SO many levels from where they were in kindergarten. Talk about getting the warm fuzzies!!
I'm an alum of Mercer University. Gooooooooo Bears!
