TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Passionate Physical Educator, love working with the little ones (Pre-K-1 graders), at an AWESOME Primary Elementary Building! Recently, I have started implementing children's books into our PE lessons. The students are making amazing connections in our gym! They get really excited to see a book they have read before and enjoy moving in various ways based on the book. We dedicate every Friday's to a FUN FITNESS FRIDAY lesson. Each lesson based on practicing a sport related skill, while working on fitness and locomotor skills while collecting points. I have also provided school-wide evening family fun and events with the WNY community. Events I offer are large group presentations, stations, fitness games and relays! I work closely with many Parent-Teacher Associations/Organizations. In the past I have taught pre-student teachers at the college level. I love teaching them methods and activities to be a successful PE teacher. I enjoy creating lessons, visuals, bulletin boards, events, ebooks, e-programs, games and activities to promote positive experiences while moving. Teachers, student-teachers, elementary education teachers, parents, principals...please click the star "FOLLOW" button above my name for ways to help YOUR students and kids become more active!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe our job as physical educators is inspire students to move everyday. We need to expose our students to a variety of skills, sports, activities, resources and more, to help them find what the love to do! We need to give them the confidence to go out and safely try new activities through out their lives. We need to help them become successful movers and give them lots of choices within our lessons. I believe in making moving fun, applying our subject to real life, bringing the classroom into the gym and most importantly being creative while moving! My ultimate goal is to put a smile on the kids faces while moving.
