I spent four years teaching students with autism at a private day school before teaching special education in the public school system.
I believe students learn better when there is evidence that they are attending first. Whether they are teaching each other or working with manipulatives,teaching should be interactive, fun, and memorable.

I am currently working toward my master's in special education from Virginia Commonwealth University.
I enjoy baking fresh bread, hanging clothes on the line, and digging in the garden with my husband and children when I am not teaching.
