TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught composition 1 and 2, as well as Intro to Theatre at the college/university level. I have also taught playwriting and musical theatre to conservatory students in grades 7-12 and 2-4. Additionally, I have served as a TA for courses in Shakespeare in Performance and served as a writing consultant. I'm a member of the Dramatist Guild of America, a published author, and have worked professionally as an editor.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Grammar and writing can be difficult to teach, particularly when you're working with students who did not choose to take the class. I believe in incorporating humor and pop culture into my lessons to encourage students to engage with the material.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

In my last round of evaluations, 100% of students said they would recommend my class to a friend.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I'm a summa cum laude graduate of the University of South Florida (BA) with an MA in Drama from Tufts University and an additional 18 graduate hours beyond my MA in English.
