TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 20 years. I am currently teaching 3rd grade, but have taught 2nd and 5th grades, as well.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I encourage my students to interact and learn from one another. My resources typically include using a book or story and extending it beyond the "norm." This may incorporate a STEM project, game, interactive exercise activity, or responding with artwork that builds a bridge between the content and the students' lives. I believe in making the content accessible to all students. In my classroom, we incorporate technology into nearly everything we do. I'd be lost without it!
