I have been teaching first grade at a title one school in Indianapolis for ten years.
Professional development books and resources to improve my teaching are top on my list of ways I build a classroom community. I am constantly searching for new lessons and creative ideas to use in my classroom.

I attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN for four years to get my BA in Elementary Education. I also have a Reading Specialist endorsement. I also have my Masters Degree at Indiana Wesleyan University!
My most recent accomplishment I am very proud of is joining the Naptown Roller Girls, a roller derby team based out of Indianapolis. My kids really enjoy skating around the track with me at our school skating parties. My hobbies include anything outdoors, crocheting, reading books, and playing sports. I also like to watch my kids play their sports and do dance. Seeing the children out of school is the best! I love the look on their faces. :)
