TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught some type of history for the last 20 years. The longest time in Texas and American History.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I absolutely LOVE teaching. I like to teach the meat of the topic and then create something engaging and fun for the kids to apply the information. This allows me to check for understanding and the kids, to hopefully have fun while learning.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been lucky enough to be chosen to attend the George Washington Institute and the Gilder-Lehrman Institute. I have presented at the Texas Middle School Conference, Region IV Social Studies Conference and will present this October at the Texas Social Studies Conference.
